    My wife bought me tickets to this show for my birthday in 2020, almost two years later we were finally able to attend. Our favorite travel destination has been Amsterdam ever since our honeymoon there in 2008 and to see my favorite band, Pixies, there was a dream come true. The band was tight, the mix was good, the Nederland rockers were fab, and Black Francis was nothing short of incredible. Along with the varied set (I saw both shows, the 11th and 12th) I was most impressed by just how good Joey, David, Paz, and Charles played. And Charles vocals were stunning; his screams were every bit as good as they were back in the 90s. Pixies music is so original, so imaginative, and yet rocks so hard.     Yall (as we say in Texas) helped me navigate the complications caused by the fact that these shows were postponed, twice! And the fact that I dont speak Dutch. The folks at the Melkweg were also most helpful, I called and spoke to them several times, everyone I spoke to was friendly and helpful, sympathetic to my American confusion. Why are the Dutch people so good to us? We are friendly like that in Texas, but many places are not. Thank you.
